Pepper Spray is an excellent self defense weapon which still should be used with caution. Pepper Spray will effectively incapacitate an attacker quickly in most cases. Pepper spray, also known as OC spray (from "Oleoresin Capsicum"), OC gas, and capsicum spray, is a lachrymatory agent (a chemical compound that irritates the eyes to cause tears, pain, and even temporary blindness) that is used in riot control, crowd control, and personal self-defense, including defense against dogs and bears. U-Spy recommend that you purchase a new pepper spray once a year or immediately after use. Older pepper spray cannisters can become stale and may become unable to spray properly.
